Born to Run

A great Springsteen gig down at the Isle of Wight festival. He has so much energy, what a great entertainer. Non stop hit after hit and a Beatles cover and fireworks to finish too. Fantastic entertainment. Also loved Madness, Big Country and Joan Armatrading.

A great afternoon was spent today in Keswick catching up with my great friend (and mentor from the old BBC days) George Ferguson and his lovely wife Stella... who I've never met before. It was brilliant to see them both and reminisce about some of our memorable moments at the Beeb.... when George added a rather vivid #111 bright Pink to all my carefully orchestrated blues during Edwyn Collin's performance of '50 Shades of Blue' is a moment I will never forget..!

So funny... a great Lighting Director, a great friend and he is certainly one of a kind.

Golden Glen Grant

A small crew travelled up to Elgin near Inverness to shoot a commercial mini drama for the Glen Grant distillery. We had 2 hectic days filming with a great cast and crew and produced some lovely results shooting on one of Sony's new full frame 35mm cameras. We had a lot of laughs too with producer / director Anna McPherson from Recite Films, gaffer Derrick Ritchie, jib operator Aaron Boucher and make-up artist Mandi Ford. Great fun and we were even presented with signed bottles of single malt from a delighted client.

Bahrain not quite as peaceful as Crummock Water...!! Very glad to be back home. It was actually a friend of mine at Force India who was in the car caught up in the petrol bomb incident, very scary from his account of what happened. All okay though thankfully.

Had a great time in Melbourne, was a great week. Back in the Lakes now and the weather has been fantastic. Been taking some time out to do some hill walking and made it up Scafell Pike again this week, the second time in less than a year after a 20 year gap..!!

Lakeland Radio Down Under

The guys at Lakeland Radio asked me to get a picture whilst I was in Melbourne of me with the new LR app. So here it is...!!

It's been a very hectic last few weeks and days but the Lake District is now called home..!! Very exciting times.

Icy Cold

Just back from a few days in the Lake District doing some winter climbing. It's stunning when the hills are covered in snow and ice... breathtaking. Helvellyn was awesome :-)

Was across in Liverpool at the Olympia working on the British heavyweight David Price vs John McDermott fight. Incredible, it was game over in the first round. Some spectacle.

Been updating our Photographers.Co.Uk entry for our re-location to Kendal.

Also, believe it or not, started some early planning for the new show by the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland entitled 'Legacy' which is scheduled for November back at the Old Fruit Market in Glasgow.

It's never too early to start planning...!!

Taken all the Christmas deco's off the website and done a few other updates, new pictures, a bit of latest news etc. Always sad taking the Christmas things off... :-(
